About Broadway Gardens

Four Architects were commissioned to reimagine and enhance a prime site in the heart of Media City, Salford, with the goal of creating a standout apartment building. The initial design, proposed by others, accommodated 24 apartments, comprising 8 two-bedroom units and 16 one-bedroom units.

However, Four Architects ingeniously optimised the plan. They maintained the total number of 24 apartments but reconfigured the layout to accommodate 22 two-bedroom apartments and 2 three-bedroom apartments, all within the existing height and site constraints.

Seizing the opportunity, Four Architects also revamped the building’s elevations and associated external works, resulting in a more engaging street frontage and a captivating modern aesthetic. The revised scheme was successfully approved through planning, has progressed to the detailed design stage, and is currently under construction.
